About Us | Our Story
Janet Mentgen and Bonnie Morrow provided the building blocks and structure for the Healing Touch Worldwide Foundation and the work it continues to achieve.
As an energetically sensitive nurse, Janet observed the positive effect of touch on her patients as she employed energy-based healing skills. She may have provided the earliest documentation of serum changes in someone receiving Healing Touch while participating in a regional conference for Holistic Nurses, encouraging a presenter to compare the pre- & post-treatment blood sample from a 60 year old volunteer with chronic lung problems. This demonstration engendered statements of “you’ve made history” and “we need to teach this” from the conference participants.
What Janet brought to the foundation in inspiration, Bonnie brought in organization, business acumen, and expansiveness. Bonnie’s combined degrees of business and naturopathy provided skills that allowed Janet to entrust her with guiding the foundation as it grew financially, increased its volunteer base, and expanded its visibility and activities – allowing the work of the foundation to touch the lives and hearts of many around the world.
Janet and Bonnie’s legacy has been built upon since their passing in 2005 and 2020, respectively. The foundation and its members continue the task set for them by Janet to “receive and distribute funds to assist, encourage, and advance the philosophy, objectives, and techniques of Healing Touch therapy”. Accomplishing this goal through the funding of research and training grants and scholarships as well as humanitarian projects, the foundation has distributed more than $ 300,000 in grants and scholarships.

DEDICATION → We are dedicated to and passionate about advancing Healing Touch. We are driven to identify ways to continuously raise awareness of Healing Touch and to raise funds and make grants to foster the advancement of Healing Touch. All that we do is centered on this purpose.
FUN → We have a positive energy and attitude and like to have fun. This is reflected in how we interact with others and how we carry ourselves. It is contagious. This makes others curious and interested in learning more.
TEAMWORK → We work collaboratively within and outside of the foundation. We believe that by working as a team with clear focus, we will accomplish our goals.
CARING → We are caring, compassionate and heart centered, never losing sight of the wonderful benefits of the Healing Touch energy modality. We strive to promote Healing Touch and expose everyone to it.
PROFESSIONAL → We approach the work of the foundation with integrity and with respect for our founder’s vision, for those whom we work and those we interact with. We respect the experiences, knowledge, gifts and diversity of all. We are vigilant stewards of the foundation’s funds through responsible planning and management of our resources.
VISIONARY → We think outside the box to bring awareness of the foundation’s purpose and mission. We are creative and innovative in our approach to increase awareness, raise funds and engagement with the Healing Touch community and beyond.
SPIRITUALLY GUIDED → We use our innate abilities to tap into the spiritual realm to access divine guidance which provides help and support in all areas of the work that we do. We trust this guidance to lead us to the higher good that is beneficial for our Healing Touch Community.
